EVENT: IIA/ISACA 6th Annual IT Hacking and Cybersecurity Conference

Monday, October 28 and Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Swissotel Chicago

Meditology Services is proud to support the Chicago Chapter of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and Chicago Chapter of ISACA as a Presenter for their 6th Annual IT hacking conference.

This year’s theme addresses emerging threats by discussing solutions and how the union of Audit, InfoSec, and Risk/Compliance departments creates a strong force, allowing the united enterprise to strike back against cyber threats. Following the success of last year’s event, the dual-track format featuring concurrent technical and non-technical tracks are offered again for the 2019 conference.

Don't miss Meditology's session on Day 1, Session 2!

Maturing Your Data Security Program

Presented by Keith Henkell, Director and Angela Fitzpatrick, Manager of IT Risk Management at Meditology Services

Like insects, healthcare organizations are complex creatures grappling for survival against a wide array of predators seeking to impair, consume or destroy them. Insects approach these challenges by using metamorphosis and adaptation to strengthen their defenses and escape harm.

Healthcare security and compliance professionals can benefit from understanding maturity level of their security program. This presentation will discuss the various stages of healthcare security program maturity and methods to adapt and make their program more secure.

The mysterious world of insect survival boils down to two key activities: adaptation and maturation.

Metamorphosis allows insects to become more adaptable to successfully face predators. Likewise, data security professionals must adapt and evolve data security programs to successfully fight off predators of sensitive patient data.
